Ended 7th Annual New Years Day Hatch-a-long contest number 6 Gingerbread Contest

What are the chicks made out of? is that melting chocolate?

They are gum paste. You shape it like Play Dough ( that's what I practiced on).


Had to avoid chocolate in case Buddy did decide to take a lick

Nope, but I have more than a legitimate reason for not working on it today. First it was physical therapy day for Kendra. Then after lunch her PT came back with two mobility specialists for Kendra's fitting for a new gait trainer. She LOVED it! I'll post a video of her using it later.....you can't imagine how it felt to watch her walking with no one holding her up or holding her hands!

This afternoon she and Katie have their dress rehearsal for their dance recitals tomorrow so as soon as we finish grabbing a sammich we are heading for the auditorium.

On a gingerbready note, Evan finished his gingerbread houses last night. He opted for houses instead of trains this year. Today he and Tammy took them up to New Horizon's Care Center where Tam works. He thought the residents would enjoy them. Report is he was absolutely right!
