My friend had a disney ginger bread house she was making and when I first saw her mickey mouse candies that came with it, I saw chickens, lol. So I bit off part of the ear for the tails and the other ear is their head.
We had planned for the kids to make the gingerbread houses and ended up doing it ourselves and having a blast. Gotta love play dates!

Very clever! In a million years I wouldn't have seen Mickey Mouse candles and thought "chickens"! I bought some Peeps, planning to put them in cupcake papers with broken Ripple Potato Chips for straw. I bought white ones and brown ones. Problem - the chickens in their nests would have been bigger than the windows......so I stole a chicken and a rooster from my granddaughter's animal collection instead. Desperation does strange things to gingerbread coop builders!

Very clever! In a million years I wouldn't have seen Mickey Mouse candles and thought "chickens"! I had a turkey cookie cutter I made cookies with to use as chickens...had the same size issue. They looked enormous next to the coop, lol. So we ate them (and the goats got a couple). No grandkids around to swipe animals from. Next year I'm going to either have to find grandkids or find an animal collection.
