8 of our 12 hens are broody. I have been trying to break them for a couple weeks now but nothing will work. I’ve tried separating them, and just straight up locking them out of the inside coop during the day but we keep getting more broodys. It seems to me that when they see the others being broody they also want to be. I’m going to try separating them again, maybe in a different cage then the one I was using before. If anyone has any tricks for breaking broodys I would love to hear them!

I dunck them in ice cold water to break their broody temp. I also put them in a cahe with a open wire bottom to get airflow under there. Collect eggs daily maybe even x2 a day. Best of luck!
My Delaware hen is on her 2 ND brood..1st. time we separated.. crate... Mister (over 100'every day) water.. some food.. Took 3 days.. This is now 2 ND time.. I'm intrigued about the dunking in ice water.. Shock too there system? ? Takes them out of the zone?
It's horrible hot ( Redding) so it's a process to keep the flock balanced and happy
