8 Day Chick - Ugh, Impacted Crop - Updated 3/30 - Day 3

I wonder if it is an air bubble under her skin. That could explain why it has moved to her neck.

If it is still there in the am just pierce the skin with a needle and see if air comes out.

It's not air. It's fluid/water and it its impacted.
I can hear all the liquid squishing around in her crop.
I am starting to wonder if there isn't something stuck further along in the digestive tract.
All I do know is that I am getting very worried and no one has any insight on how to get the impaction out...
Except it's all liquid! I put another dropper full of olive oil down her throat.
I massaged for a good 15 minutes this morning. The size hasn't gone down, but it doesn't look bigger either.
While massaging, it looked like she was going to throw up again. Can I try to force it all out the mouth?
I am still not up for an impaction surgery. Since it isn't a hard mass and I can't feel a blockage,
I am NOT anxious to cut. She's on day 3 of this and I am really getting concerned!

if you force her to throw up you risk it going into her lungs and thats not good. are you giving grit along with their feed? chick grit is what I'm talking about. might not be a good idea to keep putting olive oil down her either.. if she aspirates.

She's been eating the olive oil off the dropper herself - I'm not forcing her.

What she did throw up was already backed into her throat. I was massaging it down and it started coming up instead. I tried to keep her upside down the best I could while it came out.
I've been giving them grit (chick grit) for the past 3 days now. I haven't been feeding them anything they need the grit for, but after noticing her, I threw some in anyways.

I still don't understand why what's in her crop is liquid. I thought for sure it would have dissolved whatever was blocking the passage way. Since I can't feel it, I really don't know what to do. Pretty soon I am going to have to cull her. She's really bony, even for a chick. I haven't seen her eat or drink since last night (except for the olive oil this morning). No idea on pooping. I thought for sure last night's poop meant a good thing - well, a good start to a positive outcome.

I'm just frustrated. And baffled. And concerned. I already lost one chick this week, I don't want to lose another. I guess while I am out and about I will have to pick up a scalpel and long tweezers. I still don't know if I can do the surgery, but I don't want to lose this chick and that means extremes, I guess.

Welp, we are starting night 4 of this. I just massaged her crop again and she pooped while massaging. It's a bit more normal. Not so grainy, a bit more brown and some white with the water. Her crop is almost down to a normal size , but floppy and hanging because of how far it got stretched. She did eat and drink, so food is going through. I just need to finish working the rest of whatever it is in there that I can't feel. I keep adding grit and I am hoping she's still picking that up and eating it to help. She's getting a bit more lethargic compared to earlier today, so I hope we get this before she fades away.

I had the scalpels in my hand today at TSC to do the surgery on her and I put them back because I knew I didn't have the stomach to do it. I knew it was getting smaller today, so I thought maybe...
