Broilers grow fast - like lightening.

Mine weighed in at 10 - 13 lbs when we butchersed. They were like small turkeys.

Starter feed to begin with. Then grower or finisher or broiler feed - dependson what is available where you live. I finish the last weeks off with some corn for nice fat to render.

Miss Prissy---I can't wait until nest year. It is on my agenda to purchase up to 50 meat birds. How many do you buy?

The key is to not feed them too much. If you do they may not make it to 8 weeks old. Several mealtimes a day and plenty of space to roam, and they will grow huge. I fed mine the same as everybody else, and even had one that started laying. As far as I know the other two I had are still alive; they'll be a year old in September!
