8 month old EE not laying/aggressive

I have two EE who are 8 months old. Neither are laying and they are my most aggressive two. The lighter (whitish) one will act like she's going to attach me when I pick up the other ladies. The brown one will go after our Jersey Giant and peck grab her feathers on the back of her neck and both run and jump at each other like they are rosters fighting. Yet, everyone says they are females!

Is this normal behavior for EE? Or does it just depends on the chicken I have also read various starting times for when they will start laying.

Start of laying can be all over the place for EE due to their varied DNA. Generally they are not overly aggressive birds.

Are they from cackle?

They're both female. EEs aren't always the most reliable layers so yours may start out late.

The jumping on each other can be pecking order, or just play fighting, which younger birds indulge in.

Are they from cackle?

They are from TSC. Bob, the dark one, is now laying but Mary, nothing! Still. She will be a year in April.
