I have 2 blue laced red wyandotte bantams that are 8 weeks old. They have been very slow to feather and are still rather small. They are pretty much identical in appearance and behavior. I’m not familiar with this breed or rose combs... wondering if they are both cockerels because they seem to be little turds lol. Their combs appear much redder at some times than others but have pretty much been red in color since I got them at a few days old.

Both of them are cockerels. You'll have some handsome boys when they are older. It's a bit hard to tell but I think both of them are Splash. Although it is possible that one is a very light Blue.

Here are two terrible pics of some I had about fifteen years ago.

Thanks... y’all have confirmed my suspicions. Only got two of these unsexed and sad that neither are female because I probably won’t be able to keep them both. I can tell they will be beautiful birds but they are already constantly bickering. Have 14 birds (6 LF and 8 bantams) in my flock and the boss man seems to be the RIR roo that was sold to me as a pullet lol. He steps in and breaks these two up already 😂 (he is 10 weeks old).

Update:
One of these started crowing about two weeks ago and the other still has done nothing but cluck. The crower, “Louis”, also has developed a brighter red and larger comb/waddles than the other. Otherwise they are still identical. Would I be wrong to still have hopes that “Thelma” is actually a hen...?

Thelma, (who I still have hope may be a hen)

What do y’all think? They are about 11-1/2 weeks old here.
