I’ve been trying to figure this one out for 3 weeks! I think I’ve made it worse by the different splints I’ve tried. 😔
Here’s the FAQ’s:
1. She is marek vaccinated.
2. She gets nutridrench in her water. Trying to give it via dropper was a struggle and a mess. 🙁 She eats and drinks normally.
3. She was walking fine moments before she started this.
4. Her tendons look and feel fine. No breaks that I can feel/hear. No puncture points.
5. We had video (and lost it) of her being bombarded by her siblings and then she started walking funny. 🤷🏼‍♀️ The event that happened was blocked from view by the feeder. 😑
6. I have put her in a sling, treated for spraddle legs, and splinted both legs.

The problem: This started 11/3 @ 10 am. She initially was stepping on her other foot, preventing her from taking the next step. Initially I thought it was a wing injury, so I wrapped it. These are the best images I have.

I would love nothing more than to get this beauty back to normal so she can be with her siblings. I hope you all can help me help her. 🐥❤️Thank you in advance!

She is still young and has some growing to do, but hopefully she will grow out of it. I dont think her siblings hurt her, maybe you can put her back with them and see how she does. If she can still waddle around and find a quiet place to sit, that is a good sign. But if you have to keep her in a box isolated and she doesnt get a chance to walk around, maybe your special seats are helping to at least give her a chance so i would keep doing what your doing, but observe her with her siblings how they treat her and if she is interested in moving around.

I would try vitamin therapy. Give her 1/4 tablet B-Complex daily.
PND does not contain B2(Riboflavin) and this is what you want...so there's a reason why I'm suggesting the B-Complex.

It's possible it could be Marek's disease even if she was vaccinated, but I would treat as injury and go from there. Vitamins is what most give when Marek's is suspected as well.

Putting her back in the general population of a flock would be risky and she may get injured more if she's unable to get out of the way or defend herself. She could be placed within the coop/run inside a crate or kennel so she can be near the flock but protected.

The poor thing!

If she doesn't have the hobble on, do her legs just splay or turn out? She may have a leg bone disorder that can't be fixed.

You can try splinting the legs to see if that helps and place her in a sling for short periods of time during the day to help keep her upright and allow her to move her legs without having to bear her weight.
