8 week old floppy chick?

Sorry for a late update. I put her in a sling in the house and she has slowly regained her coordination and strength. I returned her to the coop on Sunday (5days ago) the 12th and she has been able to remain on her feet and now seems to be perfectly fine. Is this consistent with Marek's? I am starting to think she may have have a head injury with how quickly she recovered. No one else in the coop is showing any symptoms.

I'm glad she is doing better, thank you for the update:)

Marek's is very unpredictable, so yes they can recover fairly quickly. The only way to know for certain if you have Marek's would be to have testing performed if you lose one.

If you haven't read the article I gave a link to in POST#4 then I recommend that you do. It is a long read, but has a wealth of information.

Sorry for the delay. I did read the article and it was very informative. I have referred back to it several times over the last few weeks.

How is your girl doing now? Has she had a relapse at all? Have you had any other similar instances? I have had birds with Marek's be floundering unable to stand or get up and 2 days later, be perfectly normal again and you would not know there had ever been anything wrong. They are prone to further and usually more prolonged secondary outbreaks, but I have had at least one girl who managed to recover from that although it took 4 months and she retained a slight limp, but still managed to free range with the flock. Others are not so lucky. It is always interesting to read of other people's experiences with it.
