We've got a total of 8 chickens, 6 Ameraucanas, one black sex link, and a light Brahma that's almost fully feathered.
Same day we put the two odd ones out there was the day we found later that day that one of them laid their first egg, small of course but surprising that they laid one with how young they are right now.
All are almost 8 weeks old, the Brahma being slow growing of course is still small though, I'm sure it might actually end up being a rooster by how it acts. The Ameraucanas are alot bigger compared to the other two, so I'm sure it might've been one of them.

The egg can be seen as attached.
Another surprise was that it actually had a yolk in it! From what I read usually first eggs don't.

Congrats on your first egg!:thumbsup I have never heard of an 8 week old chicken laying eggs! I'll probably bet it was the sexlink since brahmas and easter eggers are usually pretty late.
Most eggs usually do have yolks in them the first time, some first eggs I've had were even double yolks.

8 week old chickens aren't sexually mature. You must be wrong about their ages. The soonest I have read is 14-16 weeks.
Yeah that's why I find it strange, when we got them from the tractor supply usually they are week olds. The only thing feathered on them we're their wings other than the completely fuzzy Brahma. We got them March 31'st
