Those chickens definitely don't look mature enough to lay any eggs, the chickens would be showing plump red comb and wattles.

Let's not jump to conclusions. I brought 2 home on March 13th, a dozen on the the 23rd of same month. To get a discount, I picked bigger chicks. The ones beyond the chain link area I purchased as adults. I would bet in looking for only one breed, Puffy has a variety of ages. No Big Deal, IMHO.
Of these girls, some are acting like they are setting, Concentrating, whatever we'll call it this week...; )
