Btw, if the byc app isn’t letting you post pictures, I had that too. All the icons were there but light and nothing happened when I clicked on them. I uninstalled the app and then reinstalled it. That fixed my problem.

I don't think it is the app at all, I think it is the applier, lol. I just have a problem finding what people are talking about and I get confused. Thanks though. I don't know what I would do without Miss Lydia, she is my Godsend.Btw, if the byc app isn’t letting you post pictures, I had that too. Do you know at what age they should start to show the green head? I was thinking they would have to be several months old for that.Your buyer probably doesn’t know that they all start out looking very similar. If so, they aren’t very knowledgeable about ducks and it might be a good thing they didn’t get them. I am not that experienced with sexing Mallards, but I do not think yours are all the same. I still think three and one. How are they sounding? Are you hearing any quacks? Either way, drakes will start to show dark green feathers around their bills pretty soon as they start to molt into breeding plumage and it will be clear.
When looking up pictures of juvenile drake Mallards they are supposed to get black feathers underneath their tails. I am going to check for those again today but so far they have none. I also will hold them again which they hate me catching them but that is the only way they will make any noise.Do you know at what age they should start to show the green head? Well I did check and so far no black feathers under the tails. Also one was more vocal than the other two and so was the little Black Swedish so hopefully I have a couple of girls. I will try again in a couple of weeks. Boy they sure hate being caught in the net. You would think I was going to chop their heads off but of course they really don't know what I am up too, lol. When looking up pictures of juvenile drake Mallards they are supposed to get black feathers underneath their tails. When I look back at the pictures of my Khaki and Khaki mix drakes they were 8-9 weeks when their heads started to change. So, soon.Do you know at what age they should start to show the green head? I was thinking they would have to be several months old for that.
Mine have a very faint green sheen to their heads but nothing at all near their beaks. Just right on top of the head and very faint. Thank you for your help. I appreciate it.When I look back at the pictures of my Khaki and Khaki mix drakes they were 8-9 weeks when their heads started to change. So, soon.
I was not sure which picture you are looking at. There are three different pictures Miss Lydia put on here for me. Is the picture of just the Mallards with the Swedish duck in it too or the picture with the Khaki Campbell duck in it. I sure wish I knew if I had a hen or not out of the three. They are so much bigger than my Mallard Hens but their Drake Dad is half Mallard and half Rouen so they might take after him which will be surprising as none of my other ducklings that hatched out ever did. Thanks for any input you might have.I’m here to play Devil’s advocate. I think the one in the middle is the only hen.![]()
