The "free exotic chicks" from McMurray's are always going to be male, which are in excess supply, of course. I agree that this looks like a Dark Brahma.

Years ago there was a thread on here with all the folks reporting what they received for a mystery chick from McMurrays. Quite a few folks received pullets.as the freebie.

I would be patient and see how the bird turns out. They develop slow and it's way to early to judge the quality of this peep, in my opinion. Different strains from what someone owns will look different. After a molt, makes a huge difference.
