Hi there. Here is my now 8 week old Olive Egger mix. S/he is SO friendly. I used to think s/he was a boy, but then her/his comb stopped progressing ahead of the other chicks.
And now, her/his tail feathers look a bit pointy to me, and I’m not sure I can rule out that this chick is a boy. What do you think?

Here is a photo when this chick was 1 week old. This chick is barred, so I wonder if s/he carries the sexing gene with him/her. There is a white dot on top of their head, which means boy? Do Olive Eggers carry the trait?

The dot doesn't necessarily mean boy. Also olive eggers are mutts, not a breed. So whether or not they are sexlinking would depend on the cross.

8 weeks only? My gut thinks boy, but that is just a guess- I don’t see any super obvious signs. Either way that is one good looking bird!!( and I am unfamiliar with sexing using the barred gene stuff)
