8 weeks is a little early, 10 weeks is better. But... I think these are pullets. Can you post pics of the comb and wattles? These will start to enlarge around 10 weeks in silkie cockerals. Also look for pin feathers just below the head tuft. These could be signs of hackle feathers starting. It's always hard to tell with silkies. It's very subtle.

But the way, gorgeous birds!! I'm jealous, these are better looking than my silkies.

Clear photos in natural light work best. Your cuckoo appears to be male with that much comb and redness at 8 weeks. Too early to tell with the second one, better photo would help.

These are the best ones I could get. I’m thinking it’s a Female considering the other hatchling has the fleshy comb
