8 week old silkys hens? roosters?

Can someone please tell me if these are hens or roosters?

Those aren't pure SIlkies. Look, no feathers on the feet.

Having said that, I would guess male based on the comb size on both of them.


Here are what Silkies look like. I'm not posting show quality birds or anything, but the 5 toes, crest and feathered feet are a must for the breed.

There are some here and there if you look - so may be a matter of having had some feather picking going on. I know my poor brahmas went through a stage of looking more like Delewares due to this issue and are just now getting their feathers back.

Looks like they might of had some feathers on their feet but also looks like something plucked them out!

I wasn't saying they were pure, I was saying that they do look like they did have feathers at one time! My silkies don't look like those either.

They have sparse foot feathering. I have seen this in Silkie crosses.

This one is so tall, looks like a cockerel.

I was just asking if they were hens or roosters. I was told they are bantam silkies but it doesn't matter to me if the are pure or not
