Not yet, only thirteen weeks currently. Just no hackles, saddles, or crowing yet, plus the comb is female looking even if it’s big and red.

...Thinking a bit about it a first egg can't be that early, right

A little early, I would more expect around 20 or so weeks.

Mine started laying right around the 20 week mark. Maybe it was closer to 21 weeks.

okie dokie, thank you! I'm just curious because mine are 13 weeks now and my barred rock is very henly-looking and has been laying down a lot, so i was just curious if that may be a sign of possible eggs in a month or so? They'll be 18 weeks July 13th..

I also have a Delaware, and a New Hampshire Red, and I'm soooo excited for that first egg from each baby!

Ours are on the same time schedule!

I have 7, 13 weeks old as well.

They could always lay earlier though!

I estimate that most of my younger ones should be laying by very late July/early August
