A little early, I would more expect around 20 or so weeks....Thinking a bit about it a first egg can't be that early, right![]()
Mine started laying right around the 20 week mark. Maybe it was closer to 21 weeks.Speaking of laying.. Does anyone know when barred rocks start to lay? What is your personal experience with them?
I also have a Delaware, and a New Hampshire Red, and I'm soooo excited for that first egg from each baby!okie dokie, thank you! I'm just curious because mine are 13 weeks now and my barred rock is very henly-looking and has been laying down a lot, so i was just curious if that may be a sign of possible eggs in a month or so? They'll be 18 weeks July 13th..
