I got a pip about an hour ago. It's a BCM. Whooohooo!

yay!!! what is the BCM? I have an EE piped, i can see a beak!!! I hope some more pip tonight!!! I also heard cheeping

BCM = Black Copper Marans. I have a dark cornish almost all zipped out and another one right behind! My cornish always hatch out fast.

Oh Cool!!! This morning i woke up, came down stairs to check the eggs, only one more piped last night and the other had a zip. Went to the bathroom and came back to see the little bugger pop out of the shell!!! (it's so ugly

) I was so excited! How great is an easter hatch that i didn't even plan?

I now have 7 hatched and three more pips! Going well so far.

I have 15 hatched out of 26 that went into locked late Wednesday night. "Hatch Day" was supposed to be today (Sunday) but they started hatching Friday afternoon.

I moved 13 dry babies to the brooder as they were being too rough on the remaining eggs. I am still hoping for more pips & babies. These were shipped eggs that the PO treated roughly ~ box side was smashed in ~ so I am happy to have this many hatched so far. The little black one and the tiny bi-color one in the bottom center of the picture are both bantams.

I have hatching buddies!! I just locked down a day late (this morning) and got up to check humidity. One of my EE eggs is pipped. These are actually due on Tuesday.
