What if there are still veins in that clearish space? I'm leaving the incubator on tonight anyway, since there's a new chick in there (the new pip zipped and hatched while I was busy, just like all its siblings. It's a conspiracy, I tell ya!) but still...

At least you finally had a great hatch!

The great thing is that both of the chicks that hatched today came from eggs that looked "off" when I candled the other night! So I obviously don't know what to look for

I moved one of my duck eggs to the opposite corner of my bator yesterday as a DIS... rechecked it today and moved it back with the ones getting ready to pip...

You just never know sometimes...

You shouldn't anyways!

I will move ones that look 'off' or questionable to other sides, but a lot of times they end up hatching anyways... that's why I leave them in as long as they don't stink or I am absolutely certain they are DIS...

Still waiting.......maybe too much negativity around me on hatching these eggs out. They don't understand why I want baby chicks at New Years?
I have three roosters from last years hatch in need of hens! One Gold Brahma, One La Bresse, and one looks like a French Copper Maran.
I'm giving the Gold Brahma rooster away this week.
They're lonely and it bothers me. Silly me, plus I need a fresh organic egg supply!
