8th-annual-byc-new-years-day-2017-hatch-a-long

Only like an hour until I set the quail eggs for the hatch a long! Hehehe, and I still have to set button eggs tomorrow for the HAL but after that my incubator is getting a break to be thuroughly disinfected! Don't know if I'll do another staggered hatch. I'll at least plan it better next time, this has gotten too confusing hahah

It is confusing. I have three eggs that I set one at a time, one per day, starting two days after my others. When should they go into lockdown? Can they go in a little early or late, because if that's the case, I'll just average it out and do lockdown when the second egg would have gone...will this work OK? If only I hadn't set that third egg, this wouldn't be nearly as confusing!

Tossed the TJ eggs. All yolkers, except 1 that looks like it tried to start, but there was a definite, tiny blood ring up around the air sack and nothing else. I had to take 4 of my Bielefelders out too, and of my own eggs, 4 came out as well - ironically, the hen whose eggs I just finished a 100% hatch, this time - they were not even fertile!
Yours didn't work either? I had to toss 3 doz. TJ eggs. :(

I would lockdown them all on the date that the middle egg should be going in to lockdown so one will be a day late, one right on time and one a day early lol

Had a light snow..my girls were up to the porch early. Took a photo of Uggums..my smooth SG...and some footy prints on the porch.
