Only 4 days, but they are a nice bright white..and orange. ron suggested to wait until day 5 .. but I should be seeing something by now. ?? Have you hatched them before?

Hmmm...one would think you would be seeing something. I haven't hatched Trader Joe eggs. We don't have anything like that up here at all.

The eggs did travel, albeit not far. I don't have enough hatching experience in that department. They eggs I bought and brought home were slower to start...are my older eggs. Unless you have something to take their place, I'd wait "just in case." I really hope your Trader Joe's are good.

Watch your eggs, if he's out for the presents, he may go for the eggs! Wait, the presents aren't up that high, what's he doing? Oh yeah, stealing Christmas!

Actually, just about any rooster will do to produce black sexlinks as long as he's not dominant white or barred.
Or splash or blue (lavender / self-blue is ok). While technically a black sexlink chick is produced, those modifiers dilute the black so much I can't tell the sexes, at least in the crosses I've tried.
 
I know they will be a little later than new years, but if they work I should have Poults, and a couple ducklings shortly after New years!
They went in last night. It's my first time! Wish me luck!
