May have two embryos in this one

Turned the humidity up to 53%. And temp up to 99.7. Some of my eggs are slow developing. Sprayed them with hatchright. Hope it helps.

Thank you! She's laid 3 in 4 days now! Not bad for a new layer in the middle of the shortest days, especially an ameraucana. So proud! I might do a test run before the Valentine's Day hatch, because I've now seen two fertile eggs in my frying pan. Gonna save a few and see what happens!

That's Awesome!!!
I still only have the one SLO egg. I'm going to wait until Dec 31 to start incubating it. I'm hoping I'll get another egg or two before then. If not I will just toss in a few barnyard mix eggs. I don't want to hatch just one chick.

Yeah, no one wants just one...or ten

Sounds like a great plan, though. I set six eggs last night. Three more from my SLW, and 3 from my blue ameraucana. I'm hoping my little blue boy has gotten up the courage to try wooing the blue girl, I put them in a pen together (just the two of them) last week, so I'm hoping she decided to give him a chance. The SLW and my wheaten Am cockerel already get along, and they've been in a pen together about a week, too, so I really hope I'll have some fertile eggs from them this go around. I'm gonna set some more in about a week, just to keep testing for fertility, and see what happens. Wish me luck!!! And this:

Looks like there is some good news on here about candling. That's great. Hope everyone had a Great Christmas!

I just added water to my hatcher and and checking conditions in there. My eggs are supposed to lockdown tomorrow since they're due Friday but I may just move them tonight. My bator has been running on the warm side so I expect them to show up a little early :)

Ok! So since this is my first time doing this please give me some tips for lockdown tomorrow! I am going to add some water or a wet sponge tonight to start to raise humidity but I do not have distilled water...will they be ok? They are due to hatch on New Years Day!! :D
congrats to everyone on the eggs that are doing well!! :D

Set up fro hatching on day 18 or 19. Take out the turner and and set them either in cartons slightly tilted or on the bottom of the incubator with the big part of the air cell tilted up. Raise humidity to 65 to 75%. You do not need to open the incubator unless adding more water.

What is your incubator?
