Your project sounds interesting. Will they lay color eggs? Oy... those recessives can be such a nuisance. What breeds are you using? If you don't mind.
I don't want mine to have wattles either. I'm breeding for beards and muffs.
Here are my F1's! I set them yesterday morning.
The blue eggs are a lot darker than the picture shows though.
They are from the same breed that laid the middle egg in the second picture.
