Regarding hanging stuff in the chicken run... A suet cage, stuffed with greens, is a nice diversion.

My SIL volunteers at the food pantry and sometimes we get leftovers.

A tired head of cabbage will keep 20-some chickens entertained at least all day.

They love those zucchini you miss picking that turn into baseball bats too. Sometimes I chill them first. Makes a nice healthy cool treat.

Sounds about right. Through the winter I went though about 50# of feed a week with 23 adults.

No, I spent all my money already on my lamb. I don’t know how it all disappeared so fast. We go through a bag of feed every 3 weeks
