9 1/2 week old Orp mixes. Still NO clue on their genders. Wanna help?

Genny, my Niko still LOVES his black chick...I'm thinking that the moniker "Little Niko" is going to stick regardless of chickie gender, lol. It's been very fun to watch her (?) feather out. There is a really pretty greenish tint to all of the black feathers now, which worries me a bit...could she still be a very slow-to mature boy? I'm crossing my fingers that she is just going to be one stunning girl! Thanks so much for sharing your pick-of-the-litter (-hatch? lol) with us! My husband said the other day that he only wants to buy locally hatched chicks from now on...he likes your chicks SO much better than our hatchery girls from last year.
On that note, I want to share with you what good sports they were when we wanted to get some chicks in the snow photos

PS...I think we are looking to re-home our cockerel. He has started to find his voice and I really don't want to get busted by our HOA. He is way too little (and sweet) to make a meal of so I'm thinking he's got to move away. I surely wish we could neuter/caponize him and keep him as a pet, but that seems pretty unrealistic (though it's not going to stop me from asking my surgeon-boss to take pity on me and snip the little guy). If I get shot down, would you be interested in a (freebie) rooster return?

Do not worry about the beetle sheen on little Nikos feathers - it is something the black birds get, both pullets and cockerels. I am 98% certain she is a she - even a late blooming cockerel would have a larger comb by now. (I have a rooster named Marilyn

If you can get the cockerel caponized - that would be great. Lots and lots of information about it on this site, so your surgeon-boss is up for the adventure - that would be really wonderful (if he wants to practice first, let me know and we can arrange something with my extra cockerels - no problem at all). Otherwise, yes he can come back here (but his fate will be freezer camp - just so you know).

I realize the poor buddy is destined to be dinner....would it be weird for me to offer to pay you to grow him out for us? I'd actually like to buy a couple roos for the dinner table. I'd be totally be up for helping process! I have a feeling that I wouldn't have TOO much of a problem saying adios to big meanie Roos (the first time's still miserable though, isn't it?).
