Took my babies out for about an hour this morning. I used an off-cut of chicken wire, in a circle as their pen. I put it in the sun and they all completely freaked out, sticking their heads through the openings, peeping loudly and trying to escape. I put a piece of carboard over the top, creating some shade and you'd think I'd pushed a "mute" button. They immediately quieted down and began exploring. They had a big time!
Peep (my tinest - black tailed white Japanese bantie) and Paisley (or possibly Polka Dot) (Silver Spangled Hamburg) check each other out!
Golden Sebright
Peep is fascinated by Paisley (or is this Polka Dot?)
Tiny Peep was the only one who tried to take a dust bath. They all had a long nap when they came back inside. The Silver Spangled Hamburgs and the red sexlink are the only full-sized chickens I have (the rest are banties). They sure look big in comparison, don't they?
