A chocolate color. I was very surprised when s/he started turning white!

What a color transformation!

EEs don't grow wattles (or if they do, I've never seen them!) so unfortunately, you're missing one thing to sex by. I swore mine was a pullet until about three months old, and the comb grew so slowy that I ultimately knew he was a cockerel by his feathering. I think yours could go either way, and I'd love to see photos in a few more weeks.

If it helps you at all, here's some photos of my EE at various ages:

^ I don't know the exact date he hatched, but he was still pretty downy here and was peeping like a chick, so my best estimate is about two months old.

^ This is now, at four months old. Very obvious roostery feathering and behavior.

I can see how he was a tough one. That three-month-old tail says "I'm a Boy," but the rest of him says, "Nyah, nyah - take a guess!" He sure is a pretty fellow, now, though.

EEs can have wattles... it just depends on their makeup. Since they're usually a mix of breeds with the intention of laying blue or green eggs. EE can have any type of comb, wattles or not, beard and muffs or not, tufts or not, and any color legs.

That's a Pullet. The reason people don't think EE have wattles is that a majority of EE are bred from tufted/muffed Araucana/Ameraucana stock and the genes that express the facial feathering also inhibit the wattle growth/size.

I posted her baby pic a few above your comment. She was all chocolate. In the pic above she was only a few days old. I added a pic of her when she was a few weeks old in the awkward teenage stage (below) lol

That’s amazing! It’s interesting how a lot of the Easter Eggars change color so drastically through all their molts.
