9 week old juvenile drake, with sprained leg or flipper☹️

Thank you, we have been resting it now for several days and he seems to be getting better day by day. I have bought a vitamin drop for ducks that has Niacin in it and have hidden it in his watermelon treat next too his food. He loves watermelon. So it gets gobbled up right away. His food and watermelon are next to his water bath so he can rest in it, and not go far for food. Don't laugh, but if I have chores to do, (which he usually follows me around for) I have been placing him in a dog carry pouch I have for my teacup poodle. Sounds crazy but he does not feel alone and loves being with Mom.

maybe a little crazy, but all chicken and duck people are that way a little anyway
or else we would get a different hobby.

What are you feeding your ducks?
My Babis get duck specific food. Quakers still will get duckling food for another week or so being he is still young. Any food is always given with water available close by like I am sure you already know. I am now making sure they get a vitamin supplement, since Quackers hurt leg (or hip). I will also give them fruit, like finely chopped blue berries, cherries or "the favorite" watermelon. Finely chopped greens like kale or beet greens too. Although, be wary with the Cherries. Gave them to my duckling Quackers, and his pen looked like a Crime scene from an episode of CSI! Lol......cherry juice Everywhere lol...MESSSY Ducky!
