Hi, this Olive Egger girl was purchased from a farm store, which claims they have a 90% accuracy rate on sexing and offered in a bin full of all females. It doesn’t have much of a comb (which is very pale), and its behavior is extremely timid. It’s size is approximately the same as the other pullets of different breeds purchased on the same day. So far I haven’t had a reason to think it was a roo, but I did notice some feathering which made me second guess the gender. It wouldn’t be the first (or fourth!) time this store has sold me a boy.
What do you think?

Looks like a pullet to me! She's cute, she looks like my old EE girl Butterscotch!
Thank you! All the other babies’ feathers are so much more rounded in comparison (plus they are all different breeds), so suddenly I started doubting the gender.

I thought so too, but her somewhat pointy feathers near the back started making me question her…

I think that the color pattern is tricking you about the shape.

Put your hand or a piece of paper under the saddle feathers to see them more clearly. :)
