Today, my hen threw up what I think is water. This is the second time shes done it, the first time was about 3 or 4 weeks ago. I've heard that it's a common thing but the thing is that her "throw up" is clear yellow. She is finishing up whats left of the starter feed which is not much. The second bag that I bought was a bit more yellow than the first bag I had. Could this be because her feed is yellow? Thank in advance!

She is 9 weeks old
Rhode Island Red
She is finishing up whats left of the starter feed which is not much
NOT free range
I live in Honolulu so it's pretty sunny
She stays in a coop that is about 3 feet off the ground so that if a cat came around, it wouldnt bother her and her sister
The floor is chicken wire so it is very dry, I put news paper inside so that they are comfy when they sleep
I DO NOT have a compost pile that they can access

If it is very warm there she may be drinking an excessive amount of water > she might have then bumped into another bird etc. applying pressure on the crop which made her "throw up".
Sounds to me like your feed (the "yellow" coloring) if pelleted might contain a harmless additive (usually from marigold) which will give the eggyolks a deeper color (though this is usually only added to layer formulations) ... otherwise yellow corn... cant imagine anything else which would make it that color...

It hasnt been too warm. Its been around 75 ish and she was lying down right before she "threw up." But I guess she may have a tendency to over drink if that is going to be the case.

I agree with post#2
ur hen may have drank too much at
once and bumped into another hen
do they have enough outside room to roam.

Yes they do

Just wondering why it came up yellow/ conformation that it may be because her feed is yellow.
