I have a black Australorp that is approximately 9 wks old. The comb and waddle make me think roo, but the feethers don't match what I have read here. A little help??
First of... Welcome! I hope you enjoy this site as much as the rest of us do!
Definitely looks like a little roo! Gorgeous little guy! His tail feathers definitely resemble a male chicky!
Thanks for the welcome. But sadly, no boys allowed here. We have others that live within ear shot of us and those boys just crow at each other all...day...long...I don't want to add to that. He has been a very good, easy tempered guy. Now to re-home.
That's me adding a week. I was told they were 4 days old when I got them, (may 4th) and they we're all tiny puff balls. About the size of a ping pong ball. 10 weeks tops.
