Yeah I’ve read about it too. I wanted to try it at first but then I realized I roll too much in my sleep soooo… not a good idea for me. Great job remembering it in the moment though.I remembered reading of other women doing it in same situation.
Keep him in the incubator make sure it has a high humidity because you don't want the shell to get stock to it. If its moving a lot you can help it by making a little Crack on the egg where its beak is, so it could breath and start pecking the shellMy hen was sitting on duck and chicken eggs. A chick hatched but ducks have til 6/9, 6/10. She kicked the other unhatched eggs out crushing one. I thought it were dead but the duckling moved. Fortunately I have a broody duck now and placed the other eggs under her but this one had a broken shell and has its bill sticking through. I need help on how to try and save the baby. I have an incubator but its in Celsius which I'm old school and never learned it. What temperature should I put it on? Anything someone can tell me is helpful at this point.

Thanks in advance!
A good 1/3 of the shell is gone, it was broken that much. Its bill is sticking through and it's moving some at times. I can see a few sleepless nights coming.Keep him in the incubator make sure it has a high humidity because you don't want the shell to get stock to it. I don't keep it around, I'm allergic to olives. This happened to me with the membrane on my duck eggs! To prevent it from drying out put some olive oil onto it![]()
I only have vegetable oil, I'll try it.Oh gee. I was waking up every half hour to put a little water on to keep it moist until I read here on a thread that oil works for a longer period of time. Surely sunflower oil or an alternative would suffice?
