911!! pale/cold/weak peachick

Thank you for the kind encouragment and advice. Ill do as much of what you advised as I am able to and I will get those supplies for future needs. Live and learn, sometimes the hard way. Ill keep you posted on this one and the other two.

Would you advise treating for cocci just in case? If I lose this one the other two will become that much more precious to us.

I read the story about your dwarf rabbit, what are you going to do about the peas?

Zaz...I don't live there any more :) I moved from PA to SE oklahoma not too long after all that happened. We now have a homestead/farm and we can have whatever we want. The downside is that there are no small animal vets close by and even the nearest walmart/petco is over an hour away. I still much prefer here. I have learned a lot and the more I learn the more I know I need to learn :)

O unfortunatley we didn't. Mangled took dogfood and a tech at our former vets office took penguin, padme and petrie.

Like Yoda said, treat *all* of them for coccidiosis with Corid (amprolium). Make a fresh batch each day.

Sonia,
You are doing great. Just give the little one a few drops every couple hours. Don't go over board and the chick will be fine. You should have them all together this way the little one won't be alone and treating them all at once. The other 2 might even get the sick one to drink on it's own. If one has it then you must assume the others have it as well and treat everyone. Replace the drinking water with curid water and you should be fine. Between the medicated food and the curid the little ones will be in great hands.

I do not think it is blackhead so it has to be Coccidia. Be sure to add chick vitamins to the water as well. I use the vitamins with all my chicks to be sure they are not lacking any. You can find them at your local feed store or online at TS. If there is anything you need let me know. I can send you fish zole so you have some and some vitamins if you need them.
