One more thing, when you get ready to put the paper towel on him, take two drops of water and touch the membrane with it. Make it so that it is see threw, not to much because it will defeat the purpose just enough so that it doesn't get hard as a rock and he can still move around. He's going to need at least 8 to 12 hours that is if he makes it. CROSSING FINGERS now once you do this you will have to check him every two hours, when that membrane turns white like that, get some more water just a couple of drops, once he has obsorbed most of the blood you can start pealing away the membrane, if we can get his head out and ONLY his head, he has a great chance of survival. But we really need to force him to obsorb more blood before EVEN thinking down that road. So in a couple of hours try to get me another pic. If it's easier you can send them to my cell phone as a text.

Gosh thank you so much!!! We lost one last night that was fully ready and all absorbed but didn't make it out of the shell!! That's why I intervened with this one! Thought it would be at the same stage!! WRONG!!!!! I'll post a pic on here as I'm in the UK!
I will do as you said! And in a couple of hours I will send you another pic!! Thanks again! :)

Humidity is at 74%!!!!!! Was told to get it between 70 & 80 and 74 seems to be the max I can get it to!

OH NO, lol. well I have read a lot of posts on here and most of them will say cover the egg with a wet paper towel and in the past I have done that only to lose most of them. However, in changing up this theory and doing it this way I can tell you I have successfully gain more then lost. They have to obsorb since you already gave them a rush start you have to get them to obsorb quickly and in my experience the only way in doing this is by not covering them totally. Covering them alls your really doing is keeping them wet in which they have to obsorb the moisture giving them less time to obsorb the blood, bascially tiring them out to where they seem to give up..

So try to keep the opened area uncovered until we can see that most of it has obsorbed, with luck we can get the head out. Once the head is out you keep the rest of the body in the shell and leave them alone, no more paper towels or nothing, let them manage to get out on there own and usually they do. Occassionally you get that one that gets to impatient and will rush out causing himself to break his own vein those guys you really can't help much but if you catch him in time you can shove him back into the shell to finish the job. LOL It's basically the waiting game right now... A hit or miss..
