[Ember Lily]

Ember sat in the corner of Ashe's stable, Ashes head was on her lap and she reclined against the wall, playing with her hair, she sang softly, a old song her mother had taught her, her hair was dirty and muddy, as we're her clothes, you could only tell her hair color was red by the few streaks that had escaped the mud, Ashe looked up at her and put his head under her chin, he was vibrating, almost like purring, he wished she wasn't so sad all the time, but he put his head back down on her lap, Ember smiled at him, they had their fun in the mud earlier, Ashe taking her to the mud hole by the lake, then they returned to the stables, Ember was sad over losing her parents, she wanted to see them badly, but knew she couldn't she sighed and got up, she kissed Ashe on the head and scratched under his chin, before turning and leaving the stable, heading back to her room to clean up, then she would go back and do some training with Ashe. Ashe watched her go, he wished he could cheer her up, and he rolled onto his back, he started mimicking the song she always sang to him, humming its tune.

Once she had bathed, Ember sat down at a small mirror and made sure she didn't have any mud left in her hair before she got up and dressed into her riding clothes, she put on her leather trousers, then she pulled her boots on next, pulling the strap in the back to tighten the boot, then she put on her other boot, then she pulled on a brown blouse and stringing it up, then she put on a leather vest over it, pulling the strings together and tying them. She exited the building and headed back to the stables, her hair hung loosely behind her, once she reached the stables, Ashe rolled back over he chirped, happy to see her again, he waited excited, she pulled the saddle off its stand, putting it on ashes back, she tightened the straps around his belly and hugged him, then she got onto the saddle, securing her legs with some straps then she giggled, she loved flying, her sadness was gone, replaced only with excitement, "Let's go Ashe." She said, her voice was sweet and melodic, it sounded like music when she talked. Ashe gladly complied, exiting the stable, he didn't immediately fly, but he walked down the main street of the city, drawing a lot of attention, like all dragons, vanity got the better of him, he loved attention and compliments, he grinned and spread his wings, though not as large as other dragons, he was a sight to see, his scales shone like rubies in the sunlight he flapped his wings, quickly gaining height, he sped off towards the lake, Ashe and Ember wen't though some stunts, Spinning, diving, and many other tricks they loved doing, they finally reached the lake, Ashe flew close to that water, his claws cutting a line in the water, leaving ripples behind, other dragons we're around, "Lets set down." Ember said, Ashe headed for shore near the other dragons and riders, he landed in a flourish, Ember unstrapped her legs and got off of Ashe, patting his head and playfully pushed him away, "Go play!" She said, laughing, once he left, jumping and gliding from the trees having fun, Ember sat down on the bank of the Lake, it was a 2-3 foot drop into the water, and she dropped her legs over the edge, she breathed in deeply, loving the smell of the water, and the smell of the forest, she sighed, happy.
