96 Eggs Set This Morning- Incubation Thread *WE'RE ON DAY 21*

Three eggs under a broody's bum! I'll be following

I'm hatching along with ItsAZoo- my 3 silkie eggs came from the same dozen as her nine. From Bobbi Porto!!! Can't wait to see the fuzz butts

May I join in? I have a staggered hatch going, 25 eggs due 4/27 and 46 eggs due 5/1.

My first group I have 6 BBS English Orpingtons under a broody Orp pullet, another 6 of the same eggs in my Brinsea Eco + 13 Serama eggs.

My second group I have 35 LF Lav/Split Ameraucana (8 of these are also in my Brinsea), 7 Lav/Split Orpingtons and 4 Crele Old English Bantams in a borrowed Genisis 1588.

Here's hoping for a ton of happy baby chicks for everyone for May Day!!!

I happily succumbed to Destiny, Fate, the Chicken Goddess, whatever name applies - and I set those 12 eggs. And I'm grinning about it. There are 8 olive eggs, two apricot colored eggs from an EE in with my Brown-Red Ameraucana, one egg from the Silkie-X-Ameraucana in with that same rooster, and one from the Silkie-X pen.

And guess what! There is still room in the incubator!

Easter Eggers are such fun. You can mix and match and as long as the eggs are pretty, unusual colors, it's all good!

Day #3! I forgot to turn eggs and had to a few minutes ago, so will have to really late tonight. Ugh... Completely ruined my pattern.

I have a rooster, and he looks almost exactly like the one pictured on the Ameraucana Breeders Club website. http://www.ameraucana.org/scrapbook_files/lfbrownredm.jpg I got him from a local breeder who was actually not using him to cover her hens; he was in the "roosters only" exile pen. When I mentioned that I was looking for an Ameraucana roo, she gave him to me. Poor thing had feathers missing where the other roosters had jumped him. His back is feathering out nicely now, and I expect lots of lovely chicks from him!

I candled! I gave in! LOL. I only candled six or seven eggs. Honestly, so far, I see nothing in some, floating air cells in some Silkies and some porous eggs. I am not pulling any until the big candle on Wednesday, though. Shoot! My flashlight really isn't bright, at all. Maybe that's it? And for some I believe I was holding the egg upright, not on the side... Excuses, excuses! I can't wait until Wednesday is here!
