Since we have all of the natural himidty here to keep it just where I need it, I don't add any water. Well today it went down to 25% so I added just a splash of water, and it went to 40%!! Lockdown should be easy.
I have all of my brooders set up- got a large 4 x 6 cardboard box, and three large plastic bins/totes. Can't wait for the hatch!

I'm nesting, LOL.
HAHA... Yeah, I'm in Florida. This is only my second hatch but for my first, I put in a bit of water at the start and then didn't refill it until lockdown. Went great! 25/30 hatched without a problem.
THEN 3 duck eggs that were due a couple of weeks later did too.. with some help..

Were they shipped eggs???
Nah... Fresh from a local farm. This batch is shipped. Hoping for 50% at least!!
I have 67 eggs left. 34 in incubator #1, and 33 in incubator #2. Ah well, not too bad. sad Bad though. I'm happy with this amount, though. I have the number of eggs in the incubators that I wanted to hatch... Oh well...
My flashlight really isn't bright enough to candle the EE's, though. It is, however, bright enough to candle the Ameraucanas! I did not take the time to see what breeds I have left. I will candle the EE's tomorrow and hope for the best, though I know that I'll have to pull a few. I moved all of the remaining eggs to the middle of the bators, right below the heating element.
