And my XL Heating pad finally came the other day. Ignore the pillowcase have not cleaned it in 2 days. They choose to sleep ontop of it too.

Still waiting! Praying for a miracle. Candled my five guinea eggs. Don't see any movement. Two quit. Down to three. I was so upset. My hubby let me adopt the neighbors Araucanas. 1 roo, four hens.

Here is a pic of my new adopted Araucanas! The lil roo is hiding in the corner under the nesting boxes with one of his lil hens! Everyone seems to be getting along. My roo Joey & the lil roo is my concern. I keep checking on them. The Araucana hens seem to be very vocal! Got them from one of my neighbors thats selling their farm.

Well this was not my best hatch,but here's the breakdown..

45 eggs set
29 went into lockdown originally, but missed one when candled at the end.so 28
12 chicks hatched,2 died,one at 1 day old, the other 2 days old.
They were set to hatch jan 31 after 6pm, they all hatched jan 2,3and 4!
I have 1 chick with what looks like a hurt leg, but is eating and drinking and getting about with it's injury.
10 chicks is only about a 33% hatchrate of what makes it to lockdown. With the 110 temp spike over what could have been up to 12 hours, i'm lucky any made it at all, so still considering this a good hatch!

I will update with pics as they grow! Congrats to all the new lil fluffy butts! Stay warm!!
