our chicks pipped at wrong end, one was bleeding and hen was pecking making a mess so we took her 4 eggs and put them in incubator. 3 made it...

Final tally: 25 set. One quitter prior to day 10.

24 went into lockdown.
24 live chicks!!!!

I assisted 4. 3 of which were outside the weight loss parameters (on either side). The other 2 outside parameters hatched on their own.

I used to put in cups of water with a sponge stuck in the top.

We are in the dry part of California. I have to fill all of the water channels on my Genesis to get it to 65% during lockdown.

Missed this last time. Yes she's here on hatch day.

It will be special for her!

I know it can take awhile for chicks to hatch after the external peep... but do ducklings usually take awhile too??
(So nervous for this hatch, might be my prego emotions taking hold here but im afrad of loosing them all) ​
