"No more turning... Just the last of the burning". I have my brooder ready. The Halloween hatch was a day and a half early. I am ready for the unexpected this time.
I didn't do a last candle. Got busy around the farm. So the eliment of surprise is upon myself. So perhaps a Christmas miracle will take place and resurrect the two question eggs.
Count down to peeping and cheeping! Good luck everyone! Get your cameras ready! (& your starter feed, clean water dispenser, bedding, and cleaning chores ambition for 2 months..lol)

I think "blue" although hard to tell from pix. Possibly a light partridge?

My eggs are hatching! about half are out at this point, and placed under my broody, along with HER eggs which should hatch tomorrow. It's crowded under there and she's got her wings all spread, but I tried putting some of the bator chicks into the brooder that is right next to her brooder box, but out of her sight, and she was craning her neck all over with wide eyes obviously wanting me to tell her where her chicks were! She could hear them and was looking for them! Too funny. I just thought it was getting crowded under her. She's got 9 eggs and 8 chicks under her now. The 8th chick, I just placed next to her, and she reached out her wing and scooped it up under.

That is very exciting! I will go look for pictures

Set 27, down to 15 tonight, with 12 REALLY kickin and 3 that are questionable. Gonna be thrilled to move into lockdown tomorrow!

Chick starter is pretty much the same as grower. I do not use medicated.

Update: i think all the ducks have external peeps!!!
The chickens are gonna make us wait!

My 7 are still going strong. Of the 8 I bought 9 are started 3 are not. Sent 12.
