A Bielefelder Thread !

yes, went well. stayed in Amarillo the night before.

also got abused some more by having to get up at 5 am... (I stay up late, and get up late.. too many 2nd and 3rd shifts when younger.. grins)

but was a bad girl, I drove myself home.. after I had taken a two hour nap... procedure was at 1:15 and I was on my way home at 6.. ha

hubby is now night blind and can't drive.

also didn't eat soft foods when I finally got to eat... I needed something right now!!! it was chicken nuggets and sweet tea at Wendy's for me.. easy to eat while driving.. don't have to have another colonoscopy for 10 years..

hubby survived the trip. and my eggs go into lockdown tonight!

Have a no-colonoscopy-for -10 years-party!!!

Will you still be shipping them elsewhere? Where are you located?

As far as the flighty biels I can't comment on them BC I don't own any yet but they're on my want list. Now as far as other birds being flighty many of our pullets were flighty as chicks or got so just before point of lay and almost all of them of many breeds became much less flighty and much sweeter after starting to lay including our EE, wyandottes(though still not the friendliest), Isa browns, oegb, and our buff orps. Most noticeable are our orps, EE, and our oegb. Idk why they settle after starting to lay but I'm glad they do BC our EE were terribly flighty until they began laying now they're some of our friendliest birds.

Okay not to turn you guys off of MCD's sweet tea but my mother and I have both personally gotten tea there before only to find mold floating in our cups on more than one occasion. I no longer drink their sweet tea and usually skip the unsweetened as well my Mom does still drink it though. I have since heard many horror stories from people that I have known who've had similar experiences and one person who worked there legs just say ewww! Part of the reason I pass on their sweet tea although I love tea.

On a totally other note if you like lemonade last year Wendy's had a blackberry lemonade that was to die for hoping they come out with it again this year. You should all try it if it comes back its terrific!
I make the best tea...Kombucha tea, and I am in Washington.

Can you tell I am whirling through posts FAT and sorry to have dominated the thread, now I gotta go back to my painting.....and thanks for the kind words.

I ship eggs all over the USA & AK, and so far there is no issue with any states except Florida has the only new issue...can be veiwed at:

Hopefully that link goes through

SO, if I wanted to ship to Florida, I'd have to call the inspector out the day before shipment ($) and have him inspect ALL the birds again, after he already does an inspection every April...it is expensive, and Florida just made it more expensive.

GAK!!! The dreaded colonoscopy!!! I have to have one every other year...and drink the icky poo diareah juice & get an endoscopy every year for my lovely pancreatic tumor....and so far, I once again have strictures...oh yes ! No matter what I eat, it backs up, yes folks, I AM FULL OF IT!!!
At least I have a realistic approach to all this...he he he...hope your colonsoscopy goes well !

now you are the one that is definitely being abused!!! yuck is right !!!! I hope all stays well with you!!

I don't have any inflammation but will have to add more fiber to my diet.. sighs as I have "moderately severe diverticulosis", from constipation issues.. was low on iron for so many years. I would end up taking iron to be able to go. most people get constipated from taking iron. it actually relieved me.. now I don't have to worry so much about low iron, after I stopped drinking a quart of sweet tea a day. went to lemonade and honey. iron is finally where it's supposed to be, low but within so called normal levels now.. ha

Well, I'm not sure on anyone else, but mine took a VERY long time to start laying. I would guess 30-40 weeks, about right.
Thank you..... My rooster and hens are five months and very active. Hard to believe I have 4-5 months to go. At least they get to have a good time while I am waiting for eggs.
