A Bielefelder Thread !

:) With TwoTone being an EE, it is very difficult to see what breeds may have been in his background. With the large comb on the one side along with pea comb on the other (almost looks like his comb was trying to be a walnut!) he probably has leghorn in him. Here are some bigger photos of his sides. As he molts, he is getting more black and white on his white side and more white coming in on his "red" side :)
Wow, that is an amazing rooster!

Soooo.... After seeing a picture on here, of a sweet Rooster sitting in some early teenager's lap, I decided I had no clue just how large these beauties are!!! I went on Craigslist to place an ad to sell some Black Copper Marans chicks and looked around a bit. Look what I found!!! A perfect grow out brooder for my 2 boys and 5 girls I just got from Greenfire Farms. I had hatched four Biels in my last hatch and had already had this order placed. After seeing the difference in quality, I'm keeping the GF Biels. They're amazing!

Wow, that's a great idea for feed sacks - cage liners! I'd thought of most of your other ideas, but never knew what to do with those nice big sacks! I did see someplace on the internet that folk stuff them and make country décor pillows or frame them for wall hanging, but I have no space for any of that. But cage liners - YES!!!!! Thanks!
You're welcome.

Another practical use = designer grocery bag.
I give them to my neighbor who can sew. If I could sew, I'd already have a trunk load of matching tote bags. LOL

Very cool! Who took the blue ribbon?

My neighbor is the one who can sew. All I did was give her some of my "garbage."

I actually have a collection of chicken feedbags in the garage. When I teach backyard classes, we can spread them out to prevent the kids from sitting in wet grass. (Not the ones used for brooder liners, of course.)

Good use of "garbage" - well done!!!!
