A Bielefelder Thread !

Hello! After a ton of reaserch I think I hVe settled on this lovely breed bielefelders!...Now I am aving a hard ti.e tracking down a few Pullets, I am only looking for 3, I am in NW washington, can anyone help?

Thank you!
I live in Spokane and have some older chicks and I'll have Biele eggs hatching around the 21st *fingers crossed*

Would you ship? I am looking for older chicks so I dont have to use a heat lamp.
I can't ship that I know of, since I'm not NPIP certified. Mine are 6 weeks old and nearly fully feathered. I'm gonna stick them outside in about a week or so.

Ooooooooooooooooooooh I want some of those !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Still don't know who the egg came from, but our girls surely know how to lay some big ones! We've named two of our hens the "B-52's"!

You do know you can raise chicks very successfully without a heat lamp, right? Lots of us are using Mama Heating Pad. I even brood my chicks in a pen outside in the run when temps are in the teens and twenties....

What eggs sizes are Bielefelder owners experiencing?

The smallest egg I get from one of my Biel girls is 1.9 ounces, and the largest so far has been 2.63 ounces. Generally they seem to stay right around 2.0-2.15 ounces right now, but my girls haven't been laying for very long.
