True, but you have to admit, this is one MAGNIFICENT bird!!! My advice, be very careful with your breeding but enjoy his beauty ALWAYS!

Any suggestions on tagging or banding day old chicks to keep up with traits along the road to maturity for breeding programs. I have seen leg bands but do they have ones for young chicks then remove for juveniles?

I bought two chicks from a breeder two weeks ago. I had asked for two of her Cream Legbar / Ameraucana crosses. When I arrived she said she may have gotten them mixed and that I may have a Bielefelder chick. Do either of these chicks look like they could be Bielefelder? Hens?

The blue legs are throwing me off.
