I was sitting in my yard this afternoon watching my six chickens (19 weeks old, all different breeds) run around, happy and healthy. Our number one hen is a RIR named Rocky who came through a case of wry neck at two weeks of age. As a first time chicken person I had no idea of what was wrong with her but posted a query and immediately got an answer. After about a week of iron free baby vitamins and vitamin E and egg yolk, Rocky recovered fully even though early on she appeared on the edge of death. Today you would never believe seeing her shiny feathers and confident demeanor that she ever had been sick and I have BYC to thank. You may have not been the one who answered my frantic question about what was wrong but I have seen so many others find the answer they needed through the kindness of a stranger who took the time to help. I will always be appreciative to have found such a caring community of people.
