I love to hatch chicks. I like to turn my own eggs because of an experience with the automatic turners. Anyway I am about to hatch some guinea eggs and I want to turn them myself. But I will be at school from 7 to 3:45. Do I have to trust the egg turner or can I still turn them myself. I usually turn them 3 times a day.

Sure, flip them before school, after school as soon as you get home, and as late as possible before bed. They should be fine. Best of luck to you.

hey man you are close to me (im in blanchard/ shreveport)! I'm not an expert at all, this is my first hatch, but i only turned once a day. So far my hatch is going good excluding the 3 with unabsorbed yolks but that is a humidity problem (we are in Louisiana, go figure).

That's fine - Flip them before school, after school, and before bed, just as another

poster mentioned.
