A broody,not broody hen?

I have a "broody hen" and it won't get up and attacks the chicks we got so she wants to sit on eggs but don't want chicks? I would also find broken eggs older her every now and then... how do I break her from her broodyness??!!

She's been broody for more than a year...tho we have been taking eggs and she got mad this morning and had peck a hole into a beautiful blue egg! I am FIRIOUS with her!

Some chickens just like to sit on the eggs for part of the day, but aren't really broody. Collect the eggs frequently throughout the day so there are none for her to sit on. If she bites, bring a cup to put over her head while you get the eggs. I know, these chickens are so frustrating!
