Reagan cowered down in fear, not of her father's anger, but of what the Kensha would do to her brother.Amara pinned Lachlan. She was glad the eruditos had gone. It was an apparent accident. And wouldn't Lachlan realize that the Kensha weren't as cruel as the leader of the Riqueo said them to be?

Amethyst touched down into Riqueo camp.
"You two are in big trouble...." said the leader. "Especially you, young lady," he pointed to Reagan.
"It was my fault," said Amethyst, more confident here than in a different tribe in what her punishment would be. "And how did you find out?"
"Those Kensha make fast messengers. In and out of here to inform me what happened up there before you could get here. Before he left though, I told him about the erudito from their tribe one of our Kentari saw the other night. Perhaps they will be more forgiving in letting Lachlan go, but he is a bit older than that one was."
Amethyst wandered home and knew her mother would punish her, and it would be painful, as well as a bit of work to go with it, but it probably wouldn't be quite as much as the guilt Reagan would feel talking to her father. Though she did feel guilty of course.
"Now, Reagan, what is happening to your brother?" He asked fearfully. If I hadn't sent him to get them, things might have been better. They may have been worse, but they would probably have turned out better, he thought. Now he's all alone with those awful Kenshas, like my friend was.
She shook her head. "He asked the Queen to let Amethyst and me go, she did, but she wouldn't say anything until we left. Father, I'm so sorry, I never meant..." Her voice dwindled off and she stared at the ground, guilt flowing over her.
"He'll be okay, right?"

Fola stalked forward, laying a paw down on Lachlans shoulder, and he didn't even bat a lash. I won't let them know I'm scared, or that I'll feel pain.
Fola cocked her head at him. "For trespassing onto Kensha territory, you must be marked."
She raised her right paw, and it jerked down, slashing deep into the top of his shoulder, she dragged it down to the lower part of his shoulder, so deep that bone could be seen. He flinch in pain, as it ran over him.
"This will forever remind you to never again cross to our territory."
