A BYC CHANGE OVER REALITY. All need to read.

I'm not having any of these issues... but just wanted to remind those who are that besides clearing your cookies, sometimes it helps to do a full restart on your system when things are slow or acting weird (on a PC anyway).

My ability to post and to start a new thread remains spotty. This is my third try on this one. I cant use any of the drop downs, and it takes forever to load on my IE9 browser. (just cleaned out cookies etc but it didnt help)

I was reading thru this thread hoping for some ideas, and got a headache from all the white. I thought that I was just oversensitive since I am not feeling well, and handed over to hubby. He also has a throbbing head and tired eyes. While the colored text was pretty cool in the sand box, I do think that it will get increasingly annoying here, lol. Bright colored text on this white background.....by eyeballs throb at the very thought.

If there are any other users out there wtih IE9, please let me know what you have done (if anything) to make the sight more accessible.

You had this issue in the sandbox too...what did we do to fix it then?

I'd just like to throw out there that I love this new platform. I think it's easy to navigate and full of great features. For a site that is FREE, i think the owners have done a tremendous job, I applaud them for keeping such a great site up and running!

well, personally, after yesterday with no byc at all..... you guys done good! Keep up the good work! and folks will adjust... i think we are alot like our chickens- we like things the way they are and don't like change- we can be a silly flock....

I am LOVING the new platform!

I like change though, I rearrange my furniture, closets & cabinets at least twice per year.

Sometimes more often.

Only two things I would consider changing at this point because I am lazy, mainly...both are minor things.
The white background seems to bother a lot of people, not me because I have my monitor brightness down so low.
Wish I could set my font color so I didn't have to pick it each time...HOWEVER, I like being able to change
the colors with my moods, so that shouldn't even count as one. I do wish I could read more posts per page. Like previously I had mine set to 50 per page. Less clicking for my lazy self.

It never got fixed. I was told the system was going to have some corrections at updating, and it would be fixed then, but it was wasnt.

In my Honset Opion,


BYC's Design has gone for a worst:

The design is culttered a lot, there is a lot of extra's that do not need too be there. Take for example Currentley Viewing and Recent Reviews. Those are not needed on topic view. The header is exsivive in size, i don't belive forums should have large headers.


Also if you cut down on JavaScript there would not be the same ammount of issues with users and old browsers, also weather you like to or not you should all ways support the older browsers.


Also the footer could be trimmed by about half.

Its all good...it was nice thinking that for a few hours anyway haha
